Altec
Beverly Hills, CA / New York, NY.

In 1948, under court order Western Electric divested itself of its broadcast division. The audio parts were sold off to Altec and Westrex, the transmitter line went to Continental Electronics. (There was a Canadian arm of Altec, called Northern Electric (which has since morphed into Nortel)), that manufactured many of the same items, but with an NE nameplate.

(If anyone knows of a parts source, or catalog ... any anything in print that would help fill out this page for Altec, please let me know. )
