This fairly short-lived company was founded by David Solt PE in 1987.
He and his brother John were missionaries in South America, and sold little
transmitters to outlying areas. Sometimes, they would drop little transmitters
via parachutes. David Solt owned his own airplane.
Their specialty was solid-state transmitters that presumably needed little attention. In fact, they were the first manufacturer to offer a 2-year warranty on their transmitters. The models were offered for AM and SW use.
The Solts apparently built the 1 kW solid state unit, often called the Power Pebble, for Continental Electronics.
The company ran into financial problems after its relationship with Continental ended and, eventually, the line was sold to LPB on December 7, 2000, but was shut down in 2002 when LPB fell apart. Sadly, when LPB went out of business all parts and documentation were lost.
