Raytheon is a lesser known, but major supplier to broadcasters in the 1940s and 1950s. The transmitter designs came from a group of RCA employees hired in 1945 to develop transmitter models, hence there are some clear similarities with contemporary RCA models. The RCA folks returned to RCA and Raytheon began a slow fade. The broadcast section was shut down long ago and the rights were sold in 1978 to Dan Churchill:
